I just came back from Carrie the Musical. To be honest...I actually liked this TEN TIMES better than Something Rotten. I liked Something Rotten for what is was and I enjoyed the songs. Adam Pascal in leather...I think Adam Pascal was better than Borle to be honestSwoon~ pikachu roll head plz ^^; Huh? Oh yeah. But there were just too many references to Shakespeare. And I haven't seen a lot of Shakespeare's stuff. I only know of Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth cause we read them in high school.  Macbeth is actually one of my favorite plays that he wrote and prefer it over Romeo and Juliet. There was also a LOT of unnecessary references to many many Broadway musicals like Lion King, Rent, Dreamgirls, Chicago..I could go on and with the time and setting. Sure it worked for some moments. But a lot of the times. It didn't really work. And it just felt..weird I guess. It's like that twitter reference in Moana. Some of the stuff they mention didn't need to be in it considering the time place it was set in.

With Carrie...I enjoyed this a lot. And my mom did too - which is a surprise considering she's not that big of a fan of Carrie. I was pretty disappointed they didn't include the final moment in the original De Palma movie. But.  It was great nonetheless. Hell the people in this were almost just as good as the 2012 revival cast. I actually thought they were almost identical as the 2012 revival. The people who played Carrie, Sue, Tommy, Chris, Billy, Miss Gardner, Magaret were really good. Especially the people who played the English Teacher, Carrie and Margaret. And I'm not just saying that because I know who played Carrie and the English Teacher strikeand went to drama with them</strike>:..
